PSYCHEDELIC HARM REDUCTION
& integration
Physis offers Psychedelic-Informed Relational Psychotherapy, as well as Integration for those who have experienced, or will be experiencing, the transformational processes of psychedelic-assisted therapies, plant medicine ceremonies, or any such experience that might have expanded and deepened the individual consciousness.
In the midst of what is commonly referred to as the 'psychedelic renaissance,' psychoactive plants and other psychedelic compounds remain largely misunderstood and stigmatised in mainstream society. Those who have undergone profound and, at times, challenging experiences often struggle to convey their insights and feelings to those who haven't shared similar journeys. These insights might be bewildering, overwhelming, and challenging to integrate into everyday life. Engaging in discussions about these experiences within a therapeutic framework helps individuals realise that their thoughts, visions, or emotions are not unique, normalising the often extraordinary aspects of the psychedelic journey.
PSYCHEDELIC-INFORMED
RELATIONAL PSYCHOTHERAPY
Physis offers Psychedelic-Informed Relational Psychotherapy & Counselling sessions in a compassionate and non-judgmental space to explore any issues that may feel overwhelming or burdensome. Offering both short-term and long-term therapy, I provide sessions that offer support to clients in times of crisis when exploring and dealing with deeply rooted issues. As no two individuals are alike, I do not approach my practice with a ‘one size fits all approach, but rather tailor a treatment plan according to your unique story.
Whatever challenges you’re facing, I’m here to help guide you through your self-healing journey while exploring avenues for growth and evolution to achieve a more fulfilled life.
Harm Reduction & integration
Individual Sessions offer one-on-one support to dive deeply into your particular processing.
These sessions are ideal for those who are wanting to prepare for psychedelic experience, make sense of experiences they have had previously, or who want to use their psychedelic experiences to initiate significant change in their lives.
RECIPROCITY circles
Physis hosts monthly group meetings called Reciprocity Circles. We understand the need for community and belonging, and through regular gatherings where individuals can connect, support one another, and explore collective wellbeing, we aim to provide a container where we can connect to each other and feel part of something greater than ourselves.
These gatherings are designed to provide continuity and support, while placing reciprocity at the heart of our work. Together, we can explore themes that feel important in the psychedelic space such personal experiences, ethical responsibility, cultural understanding, sustainability, social justice, and climate to name a few. If called to work with Sacred Plants from the Global South, we can open the space for conversations about how to approach these practices with reverence and respect, whilst honouring Indigenous traditions and the deep knowledge these peoples are offering us.
We recognise the importance of ecological awareness and interconnectedness, understanding that personal wellbeing is inherently linked to the health of our environment and the broader ecosystems we inhabit. Through our conversations, we hope to cultivate a deep sense of responsibility for the planet and for our more-than-human kin. We can seek to inspire actions that reflect our interdependence. Through mutual exchange and collaboration, we create a nurturing space where everyone can contribute to and benefit from the collective wisdom, healing, and harmony of the group.

I offer an initial consultation as a psychological assessment to start working together either for ongoing weekly psychotherapy, or for PHRI. During our initial consultation - which lasts approximately one hour - we will have an opportunity to discuss your concerns, goals, and background in order to better understand your needs and determine the best course of action for our therapy.
During this consultation, we will discuss your expectations and goals. It's important for us to have a shared understanding of what you hope to achieve so that we can work towards those goals effectively. The initial consultation serves as an opportunity for us to get to know each other and lay the foundation for our therapeutic journey together.

This package of three sessions can start any time after the initial consultation has taken place. This is a chance for you to explore the potential use of psychedelics in clinical settings or retreats in places where these substances are legal and regulated.
Please note, a psychedelic harm reduction consultation does not involve administering or facilitating the use of psychedelics, but rather focuses providing education, guidance, and support if you are planning to use psychedelics or have already had psychedelic experiences. The aim is to empower individuals to make informed decisions and enhance the safety and potential benefits of their psychedelic experiences.
Here are some key aspects of what will be offered:
• Education about psychedelics: Providing accurate and evidence-based information about different types of psychedelics, their effects, potential risks, and harm reduction strategies. This includes explaining the legal status of psychedelics and potential legal consequences.
• Developing strategies for preparing mentally, emotionally, and physically for a psychedelic experience. This may involve exploring intention-setting, self-reflection, and establishing support networks. Additionally, providing guidance on integrating the insights gained from the psychedelic experience into your daily life for personal growth and well-being.
• Emotional support and coping strategies: support, listening, and validation of your feelings and experiences. Providing coping strategies to manage challenging emotions or difficult experiences that may arise during or after psychedelic use.
• Resources and referrals: Providing information on reputable sources, books, websites, or organisations related to psychedelic harm reduction and integration. Referring you to qualified professionals, or support groups if additional help is needed.
• Safety precautions and harm reduction strategies: Discussing harm reduction techniques to promote physical and psychological safety during psychedelic experiences. This may include guidance on setting (creating a safe and comfortable environment), preparation (mindset, intention-setting, and integrating breathwork, meditation, or grounding practices).
• Screening for contraindications and potential risks: Assessing the client's medical history and screening for any contraindications or potential risks associated with psychedelics. This may involve discussing specific conditions or medications that could interact negatively with psychedelics.
